What is SWGEmu?

Star Wars Galaxies Emulator Project (SWGEmu) is an open-source collaboration of volunteer Star Wars Galaxies enthusiasts who are attempting to restore the original Server Software of SWG. SWGEmu is an emulation of the original Star Wars Galaxies game with one major difference: it is pre-Combat Upgrade. For many, the CU ruined the gameplay experience of SWG and it is the goal of SWGEmu to try to fix this and improve upon it. In order to participate in the SWGEmu experience, you must have the following items:

                                            *A registered account on the SWGEmu site.

                                            *A copy of at least the original Star Wars Galaxies game

                                            *Installed version of the Launchpad Enhanced

Simply install Star Wars Galaxies and then download and install the Launchpad Enhanced. Run the Launchpad Enhanced and allow it to update your game. DO NOT update your game using the Launchpad provided with Star Wars Galaxies - this will prevent you from running SWGEmu. Your account on the SWGEmu site will act as your login for the game itself.
